good health and good luck

We know we can't always get both good luck and good health at the same time. But sometimes it's hard to imagine one will be so unlucky to get a bad health at the wrong time. And it happens now as my boys are sick right at their exam week! And as usual, the little girl can't escape from being infected...

Nothing but resting they can do now and that means they can hardly study during the weekend. Well, anyway, when you are forced to choose...i believe health is something you would not give up. How about you?

happy birthday to matthew

Today is my little boy's 8-year-old birthday. So a note here to greet him. And today is also his first day of school exam (and on his weakest subject - Chinese! can you imagine). Sometimes I feel a bit guilty about not putting enough time to help on his school work...and you know what, the excuse is always "the days are just packed"!

Don't know what his birthday wish is. Or maybe he doesn't think of one yet. Mine on his birthday is definitely good health to stay with him forever.

the name of this blog

Calvin and Hobbes is one of the family's favorite comic books. Sometimes I think our boys can get nearly as naughty as Calvin. Parents of young children, as we are, will know that there is always too much to do in too little time. Hence the name of this blog.

up in the air

This picture was taken on the domestic flight from Tokyo to Okinawa on 25th Dec. Put it here not because it's a nice one but to show we had nothing to do on the plane. The flight took close to 2.5hr and there was no in-flight service (apart from a drink). We were so naive that we thought there would be lunch served during the flight so we didn't eat anything beforehand. We ended up buying a box of expensive chocolate for the kids to tie them over with. And, the funny thing is, the box of chocolate went missing when we arrived Naha from Daiwa resort......nobody knows where it went or, did we ever take it at all?
